In order to combat waste and environmental pollution, products in single-use plastics are gradually being banned. It's a big step in the evolution of consumption, but it's not enough.

Europackwine's commitments

The global issue of waste is at the heart of new European and French regulations. We're seeing the emergence of new laws that will gradually take effect, but all this isn't going to happen any time soon, and it's up to all of us to take action to limit litter and preserve nature and ecosystems.

We're also seeing more and more volunteer movements to "clean up" sites that look like open-air rubbish dumps due to the thoughtlessness of some people.

Since the creation of Europackwine, we haven't waited for European directives to make our contribution. We have designed our packaging for wine transport  in Expanded Polystyrene so that it's 100% recyclable. What's more, because our packaging is universal, we can limit the number of different models we use. This allows for controlled production and storage.

We then optimized the locations of our manufacturing plants, so as to optimize transport to our customers throughout France. As we manage everything from production to delivery in-house, we take great care to limit our carbon footprint by optimizing transport and deliveries to avoid empty runs. What's more, because our goods are extremely light, we don't run overloaded trucks, and we also limit wear and tear.

All these actions are a good start and enable us to go even further in our race to recycle.

In this collective responsibility, in which every citizen and every industrialist has an important role to play, Europackwine wants to go even further by becoming a part of circular economy.

Since January 2021, we've been taking part by producing packaging from collected waste. To do this, we recycle used packaging, which we shred on site, then count before extracting the granules. The granules are then re-injected into the molds, and new products are created.

Since September 2021, we have been participating in reforestation through the NGO Graine de Vie to play a more active part in the fight against greenhouse gas emissions.

In the future, depending on our customers' success, we are planning to set up a sorting and collection EPS packaging directly to our customers, to be reintegrated in a short circuit directly into the production of new packaging.

Finally, we are in the process of researching ways to offer green products in the near future. biomass.

Conclusion

Recycling is becoming our priority for the planet. Let's build the future together by being eco-responsible!
