Polystyrene collection at Europackwine

As part of the circular economy, we're going to set up a Polystyrene collection program within our company.

As of January 2022, you'll be able to drop off your Polystyrene packaging at our company. A bin will be set up for you to drop off only compliant Polystyrene packaging: bottle wrappings, furniture wrappings, but above all, no food packaging. Since there aren't enough recycling units in the region, we've decided to do our bit to feed our recycling lines with recycled materials to ward off the inflationary rises we're experiencing, and thus contribute to the circular economy. 

The clean polystyrene (odorless, unsullied and unpolluted) will be shredded in our brand-new shredder and transported back to our production plants in bags that are themselves recycled for use in the complete remanufacture of packaging, with a view to considerably reducing fossil-based material. Thanks to this process, we will recover 100% from our products. 

And dirty polystyrene?

The dirty polystyrene will also be crushed more coarsely to be compacted into blocks, which will then be used to insulate the building.
